WHAT IS BAM HOUSE?

Bam House is a Christian faith based non-profit organization that provides structured transitional housing and supportive services for people in the process of overcoming the problems associated with addictions and reintegration into society from homelessness and incarceration. We are licensed through the Illinois Dept. of Human services.  Our focus is on the spiritual and behavioral development of our clients to help them find purpose for their lives and become more responsible and productive members of society. 

SERVICES

The program services include:

• Housing and facilities
• Resident referrals for physical and mental health, substance abuse counseling, spiritual counseling, vocational and employment resources.
• Peer led group meeting 5 times a week
• Recovery education once a week
• Bible studies and Spirituality groups
• Spiritual 12 step recovery meetings
• NA and AA meetings
• Personal finance education
• Employment assistance 

BAM Building Services

BAM House also has developed BAM BUILDING SERVICE INC. as a means to support our efforts.  BAM Building Services provides building maintenance and repair services for its customers while providing on the job training for BAM House clients.

BAM house seeks to assist people in the process of recovery by addressing the deep-rooted problems that have led to their problems.  By providing a therapeutic environment of recovery, supportive services and Christian love our residents can begin to examine character defects that continue to plague them and ultimately lead to a self-destructive lifestyle. Our goal is to help the residents take a fearless and honest look at their selves and maintain self-sufficiency so they can begin to take the needed steps to live a productive life. House meetings are designed for residents to receive personal growth, life and social skills through positive peer interaction, problem solving, and group responsibilities.   We believe that our clients have positive talents to offer to society and it is the vision of BAM House to help them find purpose for their life.  By becoming aware of spiritual principles, clients will clearly see how their problems are but a symptom of deeper spiritual emptiness.
